Blair gives a little under pressure

The government has admitted it will monitor the notorious IR35 tax, and thus leaving a possibility of changes in the legislation.

After pledges from the Tories and the Liberal Democrats to get rid of IR35, the government has been defending its stance on IR35 during the run up to the election.

Ecommerce minister Patricia Hewitt admitted that the introduction of IR35 was badly handled and that the Revenue would be flexible about its future.
